What is inyourroots®
inyourroots® is a strengths-first career discovery and job-matching ecosystem for 16–25-year-olds and local SMEs across Essex, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk.
What is Budi
Budi is inyourroots®’ calm career discovery companion. It guides young people through a step-by-step journey to discover strengths, build skills evidence, and explore roles that fit.
Is this a quiz
No. We describe it as a career discovery journey or check-in. It’s designed to feel calm, supportive, and practical.
Who is it for
Young people aged 16–25, especially those who feel overlooked by traditional CV and grades-led routes. It’s also for parents and carers, educators, youth organisations, and local employers.
Where are you launching
We’re building local traction first across Essex, Hertfordshire, and Suffolk.
When does early access open
Early access is planned to open in Summer 2026 (latest Autumn 2026), in small waves.
How do pilot partnerships work (schools and colleges)
Pilot partners register interest, nominate a named contact, and help recruit a small cohort of learners. In return, they get early access, a simple onboarding pack, and a feedback loop to shape what gets built next.
What do employers get
Local SMEs can create a verified presence, share opportunities, and support young people through a skills-first approach that focuses on potential and fit.
How do you handle safeguarding
We take a safeguarding-led approach, including verification and clear boundaries for employer engagement. We design the experience to be age-appropriate, accessible, and low-pressure.
How do you handle privacy
We’re privacy-first and GDPR-aware. We aim to minimise data collection, keep matching explainable, and avoid using protected characteristics as inputs.
